Materials: resin, steel, mirror, fumè glass
Colors: Salmon pink, black
The flat is located in one of Milan’s most picturesque areas, Gorla, a neighbourhood where still today one can notice age-old beauty going along the banks of the Naviglio Martesana waterway, on which marvellous villas and delightful gardens overlook.
On the top floor of a building overlooking Naviglio Martesana, the need to enhance an essential style with profoundly recognisable modern lines resulted in a flat that evokes a lived-in space reinterpreted with the eyes of today. It is a bright home with a fresh atmosphere, full of light and colour, with a balcony just right for becoming a small, green urban jungle. A place of peace and passion.
The predominant colours are pink, orange and black. The living room/kitchen was designed as a space where the kitchen itself becomes a characterising furnishing element with a piece of furniture that perfectly integrates with the entire space. A triptych of shaded effect “rosé” mirrors recalls the colours of the kitchen and flooring: black and pink. An interplay of abstraction and depth. The area is designed not only as a place to eat meals, but also for being able to relax and savour the spaces and colour combinations. The bathroom can be reached both from the corridor and the bedroom, offering a view of Milan's skyline. It is composed of walls and ceiling made of salmon pink-coloured resin and the shower with smoke grey glass, in order to make the area totally circular.
The sanitary fixtures and furniture are also the same colour so that everything can turn into a sort of small spa (lat. Salus Per Acqua). All of this allows the space to be experienced with uniqueness while creating a relaxing atmosphere. It is a flat that has a lot to say and that is able to provide an essence experienced over time.
